Abs Exercises Workout Routines

Should I start doing this exercise / fitness routine?

I've been thinking about having a different approach to my workouts / exercises like the I've been doing has not been working well. I've been lifting weights one day, abs 2 days after that, then after weights more than 2 days and so on. I've been thinking whether it is better that i lift weights one day, weights abs coming, the day after that, and so on. In addition, any another training exercise or suggestions would be helpful thanks in advance. By the way, I say this because I like to build more muscle mass, and obviously get a toned tummy.

Work your abs the same day to lift weights. This is because your abs training and indirectly with other lifts.
